The presentation discusses incremental innovation as means and stepping stones of the entrepreneurial knowledge based economy. While many universities encourage applied research, which can result in products or systems that can be commercialized and hence provide economic incentives and jobs; there is alternatives that are easier to be achieved specifically for developing countries. The presenter will show that history of GCC indicates that the region has strong innovation and technical acumen and background. This same background can be utilized to encourage new wave of innovation through incremental steps. The last part of the talk will discuss how this approach can be incorporated in Electrical and Electronics research undertaken by the EE bachelor programs capstone projects and masters students research.
