IEEE UAE Section

Welcome to the MTT/IM/AP joint chapter where we aim at fostering research in our field in the UAE. This shall be achieved by bringing together all the members to regular meetings to discuss research done in different labs and universities to initiate research collaborations.  Organizing periodic webinars as well as attracting flagship conferences to the UAE is another goal that would expose our members to new topics and benchmarks in the domain. We also aim to Carry on the work done by previous committee (School of Antenna in the region).

We are also keen to increase students interest in this field by initiating student chapters for our societies at several UAE universities, and encouraging them to participate in relevant competitions.

The chapter held it’s first event for this year:

Distinguished Microwave Lecturer webinar entitled “ RF Design for Ultra-Low-Power Wireless Communication Systems: Efficiently Miniaturizing and Passively Sensing” by “ Prof Jasmin Grosinger” from  Graz University of Technology. The webinar took place on Thursday March 10th, 2022.
