The IEEE Student Chapter of Amity University, Dubai had organized this event on Monday, 3^rd of April 2017. Mr. Ved P Mishra, Chairperson- IEEE student branch at Amity University Dubai and Dr. Maninder J Kaur, Member of IEEE UAE section, initiated the IEEE Student Chapter and Dr. Piyush Maheshwari, senior IEEE member, was invited as the Chief Guest for the event. Stressing the need for the students to keep in pace with the competitive world through cultivating mandatory skills like communication skills, project management skills and leadership skills. He also highlighted the benefits of being the members of IEEE.

The event was a workshop based on Blender- a 3D Modelling Software. Abdul Raheem and Ali Asger Qureshi, both CSE students conducted the workshop. We had 30 attendees. Everyone present there was guided through modelling.

The event commenced with the inception of the Computer science and Electronics student chapter, which was done by the chief guest, Dr. Piyush Maheshwari. All the students of CSE and E&T witnessed the event. More than 30 students attended the ceremony. Dr. Piyush Maheshwari, honorable chief guest, delivered the inaugural address, stressing the need for the students to keep in pace with the competitive world through cultivating mandatory skills like communication skills, project management skills and leadership skills. He also highlighted the benefits of being the members of IEEE.

After the speech of the Senior member of IEEE , Mr. Ved P Mishra, Chairperson IEEE student chapter at Amity University Dubai, UAE section, brought to light the benefits of computer society and the ever increasing competition in the society  and the merit of maintaining an edge over others to sustain in the IT and Electronic field .

A workshop regarding “Image Processing” was conducted using the software known as “Blender”. It was followed by our Committee members Abdul Raheem and Ali Asger who gave training on 3D modelling and the importance of 3D models. It was a very informative session followed by the competition based on the skills learnt from the workshop. It was an interesting seminar and everyone applauded them.

The event was a great success and we further look forward to organizing weekly quality events, seminars and workshops to develop technical interests and friendly competition among the members under the IEEE Student Chapter at Amity Dubai.
